Google Play windows phone
Developed by Microsoft, Windows Phone belongs to a family of mobile operating systems designed for smartphones as the alternative to Windows Mobile and Zune. It was launched in October 2010 as Windows Phone 7. Microsoft and Nokia merged on February 11, 2011, and formed a partnership on the basis that Windows Phone would become the prime operating system for Nokia smartphones thereby replacing the original operating system for Nokia called Symbian. At the merger, they claimed that it would now be a three horse race together with Android and iOS which is funny because nowadays it seems and looks more of a two-horse race between Android and iOS.

Included with the Android SDK belonging to Google is ADB (Android Debug Bridge) which is a command line utility. ADB can give you control over your smartphone from a computer via a USB cable, copy files to and fro your device and computer, install and uninstall applications, run commands and so much more.
Step 1: Setting Up the Android SDK
First head over to the Android SDK page online by going to this link https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html. Look for “SDK Tools Only” and then download the file which is in ZIP format and unzip it. Start the SDK Manager EXE and unselect everything except for “Android SDK Platform-tools.” Now click the INSTALL button.
Step 2: Enable USB Debugging on your Windows Phone
To be able to use ADB with your Windows Phone you must enable USB debugging on your Windows Phone so that when you connect your phone to your computer, a popup appears on your phone that prompts you to allow USB debugging.
To connect the computer and the Windows Phone, run the command prompt. The command prompt can be opened by pressing WINDOWS and R. On the Run popup that appears type “cmd” then click OK. The command prompt then appears. On the command prompt type “wconnect usb.” The command prompt will then begin creatin sessions. Wait, for a little while as this happens.
After sessions have been created, the command prompt will require you to enter the PIN for the Windows Phone for it to be paired and connected to the computer. You’ll get a code on the Windows Phone which you get by pressing “PAIR” on the phone. Type in the code on the command prompt.
Step 3: Test ADB
Open the folder that the SDK tools are installed in and open the folder named “platform-tools.” This is the folder that contains the ADB program. To make it easier for you to get the folder follow this procedure: Go to Local Disk C where all the software folders are located then select “Program Files (x86) folder after which select Android folder and finally click on the Android SDK folder where you’ll get the “platform-tools” folder. Press SHIFT then right click inside the folder. Select “Open Command Window Here.”
To test whether ADB is working properly, connect your Windows Phone to your computer using a USB cable and open the command prompt. Now run the following command: “adb devices.” You should be able to see your Windows Phone on the list.
If your device doesn’t appear on the list yet it’s connected then you’ll need to install the appropriate drivers. You could also try to install the Google USB Driver from the folder labeled Extras in the SDK Manager window. Using Google USB driver will mean you’ll have to force Windows to use the installed drivers for your Windows Phone.
Do this by opening the Device Manager then locating your Windows Phone, finally right click it and choose Properties. A yellow exclamation mark appears next to the Windows Phone if its drivers aren’t correctly installed.
Using Google’s USB driver may compel you to force Windows to use the installed drivers for your smartphone. Open the Device Manager (click on Start, type Device Manager, and press Enter), locate your device, right-click it and select Properties. You will see a yellow exclamation mark adjacent to the device if its driver isn’t installed correctly.
Click Update Driver on the Driver tab then select BROWSE to search for software options on your computer. The search will find the Google USB Driver located in the folder labeled EXTRA where the Android SDK files are installed. Select the Google USB Driver folder then click NEXT.
Once you have installed the Windows Phone drivers, plug in your Windows Phone and run the adb devices command again by typing “adb devices” in the command prompt. You should see your Windows Phone on the list, and you’re set to start using ADB.
Step 4: Run Google Play Services on your Windows Phone
Type in the filename of the APK file you downloaded and unzipped in the “adb install filename” command prompt then press ENTER. If it fails then you’ll see the statement:” Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_URI]” In the event of this then change the file name of the APK both in the folder where contained and in the command prompt by eliminating the parenthesis then try again with the new file name.
If it is successful then it will read “SUCCESS,” and if you check your phone then you will see the successful installation of play store download for Windows Phone and now you can begin enjoying play store app for Windows Phone.
